The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency said it's alarmed about the superior variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service position established for intervention encounters a significant inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for your office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to help the servicing of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
